• MYCOSIS

Fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes of the genus Epidermophyton, Microsporum and Trychophyton. Fungi cause baldness and inflammation of the skin. These diseases can also be dangerous for the animal’s owner.
Yeast infection in dogs and cats is most often caused by infection with the yeast Malassezia spp. Yeast develops in the ear canals (otitis externa), on the skin of the face and paws, causing redness, itching and oily seborrhea.

• BACTERIAL INFECTIONS

Bacterial infections (pyoderma) appear as a result of wound infection, allergies, scabies or hormonal diseases. As a result of infection, pustules, purulent blisters on the skin, erythema or partial hair loss may appear.

• SCABIES, DEMODECOSIS | mites

Scabies and demodicosis are the most common diseases caused by mites. Organisms responsible for those illnesses are: Sarcoptes scabiei var. Canis (dogs) and Notoedres Cati (cats). Animals infected with scabies feel pruritus, erythema, scabs and purulent dermatitis. Demodex canis infection occurs in immunocompromised animals with allergic or metabolic problems, such as diabetes. The mites inhabit the hair follicles and the dog’s skin. Their multiplication always leads to hair loss and can also cause bacterial skin infections.
